Masonry Chimneys

Masonry chimneys are prone to deterioration, especially if long term water exposure has occurred. In some cases the most practical solution is to re-surface the interior of the flue with a ceramic refractory cement called Heat Shield. This process uses specialised equipment to apply a coating of Heat Shield to the inner walls of the flue from top to bottom, leaving a solid conduit for smoke and the byproducts of combustion to exit the home.
